11 months!

Eden turned 11 months old yesterday and I can't believe she will turn one next month! I'll be honest.. the last few weeks I've felt like she is at kind of a difficult age. Not that each stage doesn't have it's difficulties.. but now that is extremely mobile and curious, it's made a big difference. She is extremely curious and active and is usually not content to sit quietly and play with her toys. She likes to crawl around and get into anything and everything she can get her hands on.

The biggest change since last month's update is her sleep schedule. Remember how she used to sleep in til at least 11:30am and sometimes 1pm? She used to be a total night owl. She's completely changed in regard to her sleep. She's now up at 7:30am and goes to bed around 8:30pm. It was a gradual change.. she just kept getting up earlier and earlier and we started dialing back bed time.. and now we're all pretty comfortable in the new routine. Although I admit getting up with her at 7:30 is difficult, especially if she's had a wakeful night. Since birth, she has only slept through the night a handful of times (2-3 max). Last Wednesday, she slept (or at least didn't need help getting back to sleep) from 8:30pm - 7:20am. It was absolutely shocking.. and wonderful! She has not done it again since. She doesn't eat in the middle of the night, but sometimes needs some rocking or back patting to help her get back to sleep.

As I mentioned last month, she loves finger foods! She is really picky about vegetables, but loves bread and cheese. She will eat fruit/vegetable smoothies (I feed them to her with a spoon) so that's a good way to get her to eat more veggies.

She now has 4 teeth up top and 4 on bottom. Really, 2 full and 2 partials on the bottom.

She says: Mom, Mama, Dada, Up - however, none of these really count because she doesn't really use them in context. She just repeats them, if she feels like it.

She also knows "what does a tiger say?" - see here.

I miss when she was really tiny (and immobile!) but I also can't wait for her to be able to do more things! She loves walking around in her walker and cruising around the living room while holding onto the couches/ottoman.

Hope you have a great Sunday!

  2. Um, she's the cutest. I love how friendly and non-afraid of me she was! She's also really sweet and adorable, so like, you really lucked out. Even if she's kind of in that monster baby stage. I can't believe she's so old already!
