Crafternoon Round 2: Vintage Tea Cup Planters

Over the weekend, Abby hosted the second Blogger & Friends Crafternoon at her beautiful home! <Which, conveniently, is right in my neighborhood!> This time around, we made Vintage Tea Cup Planters. I used the same adorable (thrifted) mugs that I used when I did this project back in 2012 (here!) and they turned out so cute.

Abby had the table set up beautifully with the plants and gardening gloves (and adorable hippo watering can!). She had pre-divided some of the plants we picked out at Home Depot, which helped a lot.

She also made a couple of samples in those cute little mini-buckets.. aren't they cute? I love that fern. Carrie (below) brought the prettiest little sugar bowl that turned into the cutest planter!

I learned a great trick doing this project for a 2nd time - it's pretty obvious but I didn't think about it the first time. Put little pebbles into the bottom of the planter for water drainage! Genius. :)

Check out Abby's post about the Crafternoon here.  Thanks again for hosting us, Abby!
