Both this past weekend and the weekend before, we were lucky enough to have lovely baby showers hosted for us! The first one was in Atlanta (hosted by my grandmother, stepmom and sister) where a lot of my extended family and family friends are. This weekend, my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law hosted a beautiful one for my friends and loved ones here at home. I was blown away by the generosity of the guests! This is only a portion of the wonderful baby items we received...
So many cute things! I was also touched by the amazing, handmade items that were given to us. My stepmom had blankets made in fabrics she knew I loved (like the gray floral chiffon blanket for newborn pictures? So cute!). My sister knitted the cutest little hats and also made a super soft blanket (not pictured). My grandma knitted a blanket with the most beautiful, cable detailing that she started even before I was pregnant (she knew we were trying). Renée knitted the most adorable little baby sweater with the cutest little buttons and details ever! So special.
We also received several great books for the baby's library! I know she will love them all. The Mother Goose Rhymes book was actually given to my mother by her grandmother in 1958! My Grandma has saved it for all of these years and wanted me to have it. So very sweet and special!
We just feel so lucky to have so many special people in our lives to share the joy we feel in welcoming this little baby into the world!
Hope you have a great Tuesday,
