Three Things (Life Lately)

1. I've been dying to get outside more, even though it's still so cold. Usually we can enjoy sledding, ice skating, snow tubing, snow hiking, etc.. but this year I feel so fragile! The last thing I want to do is fall (or get run into) so I've been feeling even more cooped up than usual this winter. A few weeks ago, it was super snowy and not too icy, so we did go for a wintery walk around the neighborhood that I loved. Call me crazy but I even enjoy shoveling snow. It's such good exercise and oddly therapeutic.. but I've been avoiding that too because of the ice (and the heavy snow lifting is not good either). For this lover of fresh air, spring can't come soon enough!

2. Ah, Valentine's day. It's a cute little holiday but I hate how it makes (some) single people feel. I know a lot of people who are happily single (by choice even!) and that's great for them. But for some others, I know it's to be kind of a bummer. Kind of like Mother's day and Father's day feels for some people. Not to stay we shouldn't "celebrate" them all, but you know. It just gets me thinking (and rambling). Anyway! We had a great little Valentine's evening yesterday. One of our favorite date nights is to go to the Ruby Tuesday in Canton (Salad Bar!) and then to the dollar theatre out there. Well, Ruby Tuesday (and practically every other area restaurant) were packed, so we went to Friendly's because there wasn't a wait. It was fine (ice cream!) and we made it the movie on time. We saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and we both really liked it. Oh, and R also got me lots of chocolate goodies from Malley's and a cute little book for the baby. I can't wait to read it to her :)

3. I got that sparkly, gray sweater at the swap at Abby's house a few weeks ago. I like that it's way too small for me so I can wear it over a dress and tuck it under and it stays that way. My wardrobe options are getting smaller and smaller and I'm getting bigger and bigger. I'm having to get creative which has been interesting.

Happy Sunday!

  2. CUTE. I hadn't thought about tucking up my cardigans that don't fit, but that's a great idea! :)
