For the Love of Succulents

I don't know if I've mentioned this much on this blog, but I absolutely love plants. Both outside and inside. The other day, I was at Home Depot and the baby succulents were on sale for $2.95 and some larger ones for $3.95. Of course, I had to get some. The last time I went thrifting, I found some great bowls that would perfect planters (see those finds here).

Here are the pretty little succulents I chose:

Here are the bowls I thrifted a few weeks ago for 99-cents each:

When I was getting the succulents, I also got some potting soil to use and keep on hand for future planting projects. I added a little bit of the soil to the bowls and then dug little holes to plant the succulents in. Needless to say, it would have been preferable to do this little project outside.. but it's February and I live in Akron.

I love how they turned out! I think I'm going to get some stones to put on top of the dirt for a cleaner look, but I love still love them.

They look so cute decorating my living room. The other day, I shared on instagram my dining room window bench, where you can see more of my plant obsession. When we finally pick a color and get that room painted, I will be sharing more of those plants (and the room in general) too.

Hope you had a great week, happy Friday!

PS - Remember my Vintage Mug Planters from a few years ago? Some of them are still going strong!

  1. I love them! We need more inside plants, but I'm sure Eleanor would eat them!

  2. I love the look of succulents and really want to buy some whenever I see them, but alas, I am a plant killer and have already killed three cactuses (which are supposed to require very little water)! Do you know if these take much work? I just don't know if I can handle the sadness of another dead plant. :)
