Product Review: Juice Beauty Products

I always thought that when I was pregnant, my skin would be "glowing" and clear because I wasn't getting the typical PMS pimples.

Thanks to surging hormones, my skin doesn't know what to do with itself.

And the kicker is that I can't use my once very reliable Proactiv products! My doctor told me to stay away from products with Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide. That only leaves the gentle products, and trust me, since I turned 13 my skin has needed the big guns. I've accepted it. In return I got good eyelashes, great feet arches and a pretty good metabolism.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I was getting desperate. I did some research online and found a lot of people who got great results using all-natural Juice Beauty Products. I went a little crazy and got:

Blemish Clearing Cleanser
Blemish Be Gone Stick
Oil Free Moisturizer
Perfecting Foundation
Refining Finishing Powder

This stuff isn't cheap and this isn't a sponsored post (unfortunately). I shelled out around $120 for this stuff. Here's what I thought:

Blemish Clearing Cleanser : Great product. I'm not a huge fan of the smell of it. A lot of people raved about it.. I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant or what, but I'm not loving it. Aside from that, it foams up really well and I've even used it with my Clarisonic Mia.

Blemish Be Gone Stick : I like this stuff too. It feels good when you roll it on. I'm still on the fence about the smell - I like the freshness but sometimes it's a little much. Again, other reviewers raved about it. I did notice a difference in my skin after using this product combined with the cleanser for a few days. Not a huge difference, but it was better.

Oil Free Moisturizer : Eh. It's decent. Again, the smell was a big perk for most buyers but for me it's kind of a negative. This is a pretty thick moisturizer and it goes on kind of like sunscreen. I felt like I really had to rub it in. I am a very loyal user of Proactiv's Green Tea Moisturizer.. it goes on easily and smells so good. I only used the Juice Beauty Moisturizer a few days before going back to the Proactiv moisturizer.

Perfecting Foundation : This product would be great for someone with essentially clear skin who wanted light coverage. It's kind of watery and the coverage was definitely not cutting it for me. Combined with the finishing powder, the coverage was better, however the colors of both were way too light for me. There are only three colors available, so you have to happen to fall into one of those categories. The ivory was way too light for me. I'm definitely returning this product and exchanging it for the sand color.

Refining Finishing Powder : Because it was way too light, it's hard to even review the product itself! Again, it would be a great product for someone who only needed light coverage. As with the perfecting foundation, I will be returning it and exchanging for another color.

Overall, I think this is a great concept and a great company. I love the idea of all natural, cruelty free, organic products. They accept returns and exchanges up to 45 days after purchasing, which is very fair.

Hope you had a great weekend!

  1. I love Juice Beauty, I use the blemish be gone, the hydrating mist, and one of their lip glosses. The hydrating spray is nice but doesn't really serve much purpose other than to provide me with a tingly numbness before bed after I apply my night tastes terrible, just an FYI. I laughed while using it once and maced myself straight in the mouth. Epic, as per my usual. The lip gloss I have is in Fig and I. Am. Obsessed. Great orange cream scent and I get compliments seriously every time I wear it!

  2. Thanks for sharing these products! I'm always on the lookout for new products!!

  3. I'm looking for a few bugs in my post. But I think I should have someone look and point out it.
