Gentlemen of the Road Music Festival

Over the long weekend, R and I attended our first music festival (together) and it was such a great experience! We went to the Gentlemen of the Road Troy Stopover and saw so many great bands.. most importantly: Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Mumford & Sons!

We got to Troy on Friday evening and set up our tent (yep, we camped!) then headed to the stadium to check out some of the opening bands before Edward Sharpe.

It was really cool and we got a space on the field in front of the stage so we had a great view. I just love their music so much and they even played a crowd favorite, Home! They put on such a great show.

There were also stages set up in the downtown area of Troy. They had vendors all over selling food and souvenirs. On Saturday morning there was even a farmer's market. The downtown area was decorated for the festival and it was adorable!

I am so glad I picked up this skirt through the 330 Swap last year because it was super comfortable and light-weight, perfect for walking around and dancing.

The music was so good and if you ever get the chance to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros or Mumford & Sons, I would definitely recommend it!

I hope you had a great Labor day weekend - it was hard to go back to real life on Tuesday wasn't it?
