For years I've been on the lookout for a Vintage belted coat while thrifting.
I've found many pretty coats over the years.. but until a few weeks ago.. none of them were belted. For me, that is a key element for both warmth and aesthetics.
During a recent trip to the Village Discount, my luck changed and I found a beautiful, belted, Vintage coat for $3.50!
You'll notice the tag says "as is".. all due to the lining. Being Vintage it's not surprising that the lining is in pretty bad shape and there are a few tears. Nothing a little mending can't fix and honestly, for $3.50, who cares about the lining?
As you can see above it's a Vintage JCPenney coat with a cute, light peach <although torn> lining. It's definitely one of my best outerwear finds!
It's been a very low-key couple of days after Reed's sinus surgery last week. He can't do anything too active and I've enjoyed being the at-home Nurse the past few days. Unfortunately, on Saturday we had one of our biggest work events of the year and I had to miss the blogger brunch for the Good Style Fashion Show. I'm disappointed I had to miss the opportunity to get to hang out with the other bloggers and hear more about their collections! You can still get discounted tickets via Living Social, here.
Hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful Easter!
