A 45-cent Manicure

The other day, I was at the Village Discount Outlet, one of my favorite local thrift stores. I was about to checkout when a basket of beauty products by the register caught my eye. I've never bought any of these kind of items while thrifting before (that I can remember anyway). I saw this pretty, pink color I liked but thought there was no way it would still be in good shape (you know how they get all goopy and clumpy?). I tested it and was surprised to find it was still useable! It was labeled 90-cents but orange tags were half off.. so I got it for $.45.

I'll take a 45-cent manicure any day.

The color is called 'Plum Leaf'  and you may remember this ring from my post about Jessie's Frock Party (Clothing Swap) here

You know what they say..

It's the little things.

So don't forget to check the beauty bins during your next thrifting trip!
You never know what you'll find.

  1. I'm always so hesitant to buy from the beauty bins! Seems iffy somehow. Nail polish would probably be safe though. :-) Thanks for the tip!

    1. Me too, I am way too germ-a-phobic, haha. I can't help but think "What if they had a nail fungus?"

  2. Beautiful Spring color!
