The other day, I found myself with an hour to thrift while Harvey was at the groomer. I found a couple fun things.. one of which was this cool tapestry. It was half-off $3.50, so only $1.75. I love the colors and how part of the design looks like little music notes.
I thought it would look perfect on our kitchen table (that we have never actually eaten at because we have a dining room). That little space has needed some visual interest for awhile now. Our landlords painted everything in the house white - boring!
So now that we've dressed up the table a little bit.. I've been thinking more about dressing up the boring white wall behind it. I have neglected that corner to focus more on my kitchen Instagram windows and my DIY kitchen chalk board for meal planning.
The tapestry helps a little bit but that little corner still needs work.
Here are some ideas I have for that space:
1. Yarn Art Wall - idea pinned from this post on Apartment Therapy.
2. Another plate wall like the ones we've had in our previous homes, detailed in this post.
3. A few rows of cute plants like this idea, pinned from this post on Tatertots and Jello. I would probably hang them in more colorful tins for extra character.
4. How cute is this gallery wall of small, canvas paintings found in this post on Design Sponge? I love it and it would be fun to come up with ideas to paint on the canvases.
All I know is that that little corner could definitely use some color! I'll keep you updated with what I decide to do :)

I always find the most beautiful material at the thrift store and never know what to do with it. You got the right idea! I can't wait to see what you do with the white wall!
