After many months of planning, the 330 Swap & Shop we hosted at Studio MC came and went over the weekend! I don't think any of us have fully wrapped our heads around the fact that it's over. We learned so much and had a lot of fun in the process. I had so much fun getting to hang out with Jessica, Lyndsey and Jessie through-out the planning and sorting. I don't think any of us really realized how much time it would take to collect, tag and sort the clothes, but I think our efforts were well worth the end result! We heard a lot of positive responses and a lot of people left very happy! A few fellow Akron-area bloggers already blogged about their awesome finds! Check out Missy's post and Hilary's post - so glad you both found great items :)
We had 4 rounds of 20-ish swappers come through (5 rounds if you count the vendors 'pre-swap'). Between each round we took out more items and re-organized. Jessica's boyfriend, Victor, took pictures for us that day and looked great in this fancy fur vest.
Above is our group shot with our lovely vendors : Melissa who sells hand-made soaps and lotions, Stacia who has a beautiful collection of Vintage items and Barbara of the always lovely, Toony Jewelry Collection. All of their display booths looked so pretty!
MC gave away goodie bags and Goodwill donated canvas bags so we could give each participant a goodie bag filled with coupons and special offers. We also had an alterations specialist on-site so the shoppers could leave items with her to be altered if they didn't fit quite right.
As you can tell we had a beautiful sunny day. Lyndsey's mom got some awesome tents that allowed us to spread out a little bit. Thanks for all your help, Tama!
Everything came together really well and I think we all already have ideas for next year. Thank you to everyone who donated great items and came out to swap, you made it a success!
Have a great Wednesday!
