Anniversary Outing: Art Walk in Little Italy

On Friday R and I had our 5 year wedding anniversary! We decided to take a whole afternoon/evening to celebrate on Saturday. We had planned to start at the Cleveland Art Museum but between traffic and other early afternoon happenings we decided to cut that and head straight to our 2nd stop: Little Italy. Just a few minutes before we left we decided to use our good friend Google to see if there was anything special  going on in the Cleveland area. There was: The Little Italy Art Walk. I remembered Renee mentioning LI being a favorite date night area, so we decided it was a must for the afternoon. What a cool area. My Sister in Law actually lived there for a few years - but unfortunately we lived in Georgia at the time so I only remember visiting her there once or twice.

It was hot that day so I'm glad I decided on a tank top and flowy skirt. This is the one I scored at The Bargain Box in Hilton Head, as mentioned here. I still think I may shorten it a little bit.

Skirt: Thrifted, Sandals: KMart, Tank: Target, Sunglasses: Target, Belt: Ann Taylor Loft, Pin: Thrifted

We walked around, saw a lot of great local art, visited a few galleries and of course..
got some of the best pizza..

After touring around Little Italy we went right around the corner to Coventry Village to do more walking and checking out the local shops. We ate at Pacific East where we had some of the freshest and best sushi.

We were also really excited because they had Laksa - a Malasian noodle dish that was our favorite thing in Australia.

And Kirin Ichiban. Not my favorite but still pretty darn good.

We were both too full to order dessert right after dinner. We walked around a little bit more then headed home. On the way back to Akron we decided it was a must to stop for a milkshake - so you can't truly celebrate without dessert, after all.

All in all a great anniversary celebration!
Hope you had a lovely weekend as well :)

  1. Congratulations on your anniversary! It sounds like you had a wonderful time in Little Italy. I am pretty sure I have been that way before. I believe there is a concert venue in that neck of the woods.

Your skirt is absolutely adorable! I also love how you put your pin on your tank.

  2. What a perfect date night/anniversary night! I love your skirt, such a great find, I actually really like the length!
